At a time when the only answer my wife and I received from other financial institutoins was "No!", RESI and the highly professional, concerned staff came to us with a "Yes we think you are in a position to be considered for a refinance!" answer! "I saved nearly $3000 by using the redraw facility on my RESI mortgage. I looked around and found that to get the car I wanted, a car loan would cost $391.25 per month in repayments. But by redrawing on my mortgage (and increasing my monthly repayments in order to pay off the extra over four years) I got my car loan at the RESI rate making the repayments only $365.31 per month. That’s a saving of $1245 in repayments over the four year period PLUS $1500 I negotiated off the purchase price for paying cash PLUS around $200 saving on insurance by not having finance on the vehicle. The first step was to find someone who would give me a loan! I went to a few different lending institutions and wasn’t very impressed with their attempt to get my business. I then discovered the name Resi and out of curiosity I decided to call them. This was the best phone call I could have made. The representative was very helpful and very interested in helping me. As a single female it was very daunting to do this alone.
After 18 (very frustrating) months I finally found the place I had dreamed of. During those months I was able to talk to the Resi representative, the same person all the way along.
