Client Story:
"My Grandmother's memories now surround me."
Taking steps towards owning your first property is normally exciting, but for young Melbourne woman, Amanda Lorinc- Bottari, purchasing her first home was even more of an emotional experience.
Amanda explains: “My beloved grandma passed away in May 2010 and for sentimental reasons I hated the thought of selling her house. I discussed it with the family - and
after we all agreed on a selling price, I arranged to purchase the house.” Amanda says she felt grateful and lucky to buy a beautiful home.
Not only did it hold memories for her and her family, but it was in a good area in south eastern Melbourne and looked to be a great long term investment. After working through legal procedures since it was part of her grandmother’s estate, Amanda focused on ensuring she got the right home loan support.
She says: “I’m only young and at first I was concerned about the home loan process but thankfully my mum recommended I meet with our local resi specialist - and once that was done there was no turning back. Not only did he go through all my options, but he explained things in everyday terms, knew the area as well, and brought
lots of expertise to the table.
He spent so much time with me sorting out relevant paperwork including the First Home Owners Grant application. He jumped
through so many hoops to help me achieve my dream – I am immensely grateful and can’t thank him enough.” She says: “Now one year on, my grandma’s house is my house and I’m creating new memories in it all the time.
Thank you resi, I couldn’t have done it without you!”
